Social Simulation

A social experience for medical students

Care Free is a social simulation game where the player takes care of their patients and helps them out fixing personal issues using healthcare technology!

Interior Models

Jesse's Room

One of our NPC's named Jesse has his own patient room which I textured and made the assets for that we used in the interior.

This is still a mock up made in blender. There wasn't enough time to implement it within unity yet

Bed

A simple bed model that we could use different colors for to be used in different patient rooms.

House Plant

A small house plant that can be used as interior decoration.

Manager Station

A reception desk where the player would go and fill in their patient forms.

Couch

A couch model easily used within different parts of the interior by just changing the colors.

Pill Dispenser

A model for an automatic pill dispenser. This is one of the technologies that the player encounters within the game.

Interior Example

Before I added everything we wanted into unity, I made a mock up of what the interior would look like within blender.

Desk

A desk model used within the manager's room as decoration.

Shelf

A shelf model used as decoration within the interior of the care home.

Outside Models

Bush

A simple bush made out of layered cylinders. This way it best fit the style of the game by being round and smooth but still looking like a bush.

Ferns

Simple fern models to decorate the outside ground with.

Mushrooms

Small mushroom to decorate the outisde ground with

Pine tree

A pine tree made to decorate the outside. They are made by layering cylinders as well. They also feel smooth and round while still looking like a pine tree

Tree 2

A simple tree model used to decorate the outside of the game. The leaves are made by randomizing round cubes and un-subdividing them.

Rocks

An example of some tock models I made using the displace modifier in blender. Then in substance painter I added this texture to them to make the edges pop and darker the lower half of the rocks.

Animation

I made an animation using our game characters and some of the game's assets. I did this within blender as a sort of promotional material. I used rigify to rig the characters and to animate them.

I made my own shader in blender as well to create a cartoonish look to the lighting.

About Care Free

Care Free is a game made for medical students who have trouble with social interactions with their patients. This game teaches them how and makes them more comfortable doing so.

The game is also meant to introduce medical technologies to the students that help their patients. The player has to go out, talk to patients, figure out their issues and craft the technology that would help them best.

It's a very social game that put the patients and the narrative first.
